I have the Harris Carbon and Yellow RR gel grips . they are pretty nice just short on the throttle. but if you stretch it its fine.

I'm actually a firm believer in the stock Suzuki OEM grips. They're a dual-compound silicone mix that works really well for the first 4 or 5 years, until they get too hard and stop doing the vibe-absorbing task at hand. When my first Kat's grips stopped being comfy, I ordered a half-dozen different options and tried them back-to-back, and then ended up ordering a set of OEM grips too... Turned out I liked the OEM ones (brand new) the best -- way different than the ones that had seen years of duty.

          Cheers,

what about the plastic sleeve under the throtle. My 03 kat has grooves in it that the old grip attaches to. do you have to have a special grip on that side.

The grips will fit over the throttle tube fine without needing to sand anything down. They are there to keep the grip from spinning on the tube.
