After all that work I've looked at the SV but thought they were a bit compact?
I'll be sticking with my Kat for the time being - hence the upgrades.

Couple more I remembered I wanted to do

      remove rear fender
add additional rear light (failed single bulb not good on an unlit motorway)
      fit hugger

Whenever I can "crap" some extra money, I am really wanting to do that 16-17 inch wheel conversion on my BigKat. Iv'e asking questions and got a loose idea of the work and money that would go into a project like that.

Sometimes I envy you guys in snow-bound states because you have a known time-frame to do mods... every time I go down to the bike, I have to make the call between working on it, and actually going riding instead

And then I envy you guys with garages, because I have to work on a sidewalk or in the parking lot. Which also means I'm pretty much limited to daylight hours to get most of the stuff done -- and praying I get it done before the sun sets

                  Cheers,

Now replace that "envy" with the fact you have a new ZX-14.

That's a late change... the past 8 years was 100% Kat 100% of the time and the same rules applied.

I hear ya CP I'm in the same boat. I'm not in a snow-bound state but it's too cold to ride yet too cold do s*&$ outside at the same time, the days it is nice I'm stuck to putting new parts in or sanding the fairings down. While I'm out going to Home Depot or wherever and see other guys riding I just drool. Just keep dreamin of the day I have that detached garage where the woman won't hear the heavy machinery goin in the middle of the night.

I always talk about needing another bike for a standard street ride that wouldnt be so costly if hurt. If I lived in an area with year round riding I would have to have a second bike. Couldnt have the downtime with decent weather. As for the garage. I cant give that up at all. Looking at inlarging it actually. Its allready 28 X 32

How is it too cold to ride but not a snow laiden state? If it wouldnt get below low 40s here I would ride daily year round. I Only stay off the bike when its colder than that because I dont want to risk hitting black ice.
