Better off getting the stuck throttle sorted out before starting the bike. No sense in getting it started if it's stuck wide open.

I know Steve. And it's good advice. I just wanted to add that so he doesn't get it fired up only to let it redline until he shuts it down.

Next to nothing? Sounds like you got a pretty good deal... how much did you get it for?

Enjoy wrenching on your new toy.

I did this one time to a 70's model Yamer 2 stroke. Last time it ever run. Really f'ed it up.
It's not speed that kills, it's the deceleration!

Thinking about it again the throttle cables may be frozen/rusted in place too and may need to be replaced. So while your at it grab a cable luber tools and cable spray.
Obviously the cables need to be kept lubed a little better.
With proper lube and maintenace they could last the life of the bike.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I look forward to learning and getting to know you's. Pictures will be coming this weekend, when I get time to take them and work on it.

I am pretty sure there is gas in the bowels, I can see it in the little plastic part under the tank? Am I right?

I got it for $200 cash.

welcome to kr bro, and you might need to clean the carbs also.. When it sits for awile the gas becomes bad in the carbs.. But 200 bucks sounds like a great price..

                          Nice. Welcome to KR!

Hopefully you will get her fixed up soon.

$200 Bones! I think that the cheapest I've seen one! I'd get the fuel problem fixed, fix the blinkers and stuff, and then sell it for a large profit... That's just me anyways
