Wow, a hundred thousand mile. That's a lot of riding. It certainly says something about the quality of the machine.

Just for sh*ts and giggles you should write to all the Motorcycle magazines that have a "letters" section with your story. Maybe one will print it or even do a small write up on it. Congrats!!

I gave Mr. Reese the scoop on my situation, as suggested by a couple users here, (Thanx tdrcomm and Cyberpoet)

As of todate,,, I haven't received anything back,,, and frankly, I started to doubt that they'll ever will. I'll allow a few more days and let you all know.

I'm now about 200 miles over and keeping a record on a friggin' piece of paper, estimating mileage 'till my next oil change,,, both trip meters stuck too,,, not the end of the world but my little personal nuisance.

I've had a few problems but they were all resolved with maintainance, nothing major that required specifics. Stuff like power loss, sluggish, higher fuel consumption, all resolved after getting full maintainance.

The only freaking thing was my centerstand broke in half while on the freeway,,, DONT ASK ME HOW 'cause I used it the night before and Im a heavy user of the centerstand. The one half attached to the spring stayed retracted under the bike and the other half dragged making all kinda metal scrapping horrible noises,,, man! I though a piece of engine came off or WTF !!!??? I pulled over, tighted with a rubber band until I got to my destination,,, then replaced it for an used one that I got in Ebay.

                            Thanx.

It's possible that Mr. Reese has left their employment since I last spoke with him (hey, people change jobs). You might want to simply call or mail Suzuki USA directly instead:
                                714-572-1490 (8:30AM to 5 PM PST)

                                Brea, CA 92822

Their site notes that issues unable to be resolved by a local dealer should be submitted in writing via the mail -- but you may be able to get an answer via phone. Physical mail of this sort is kicked into the engineering support department normally, while the phone banks are customer service reps, so the answers may vary based on which method you use.

                                Cheers,
