I just got some new Metzeler Z6's on my bike today. WOW!!!! What a difference compared to the stock Crapadams.

The guy at the shop sells a lot of Metzeler tires and he told me that he found the Z6's have worked best at the tire pressure marked on tires, I believe is 42psi.

So, what the heck do I set these tire pressures to? What is everyone else running them at and how are they wearing?

If there is too much tire pressure how will it effect the bike handling and tire wear?

I ride alone and weigh 210 pounds if that helps.

Any more input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

The 42 psi imprint is the maximum pressure permitted for safe operation, not the "idealized" pressure for anything shy of maximum load at maximum speed.

      Given you're 210, ride alone and have a 98+ Kat, I'd recommend 36.5-37 front, 38.5-39 rear.

Thanks CP. I knew I could count on you to set me straight. After all, I went with these tires on your recommendation
