  • another newbie kat owner

hey whats up guys/gals. just picked up a 2005 750 this week from an auction. it's been crashed and needs some minor work.

I'm not new to riding but I'm new to the katana. I have a Yamaha R6 that I ride on the street and track.

any pointers I should know about for the 05?
I've searched for a service manual but can't seem to locate one for the 05.

I'm off to the maintenance threads....

Welcome to KR. Interesting screen name....
The manual you need is the 98-02. There aren't enough differences in the 03-06 to warrant a seperate manual.

Welcome. It's worth throwing out your actual location. There may be some KR members in your local area and, in my experience, it's worth getting to know them. Nothing else, it's a chance to meet up for a burger.

+1 to that ^ lol. I thought it was only us Canuks that said EH! but reading alot of the threads here I think our friends south of the boarder use it more than us .

Welcome to KR! cincy. Also as wildbill says it would'nt hurt to let the members know where you are.

Also pics would be good as well to show how you got her and the progress you are making.

Don't let these guys trick you into sharing your location, they'll show up and steal your Kat and then sell it this website. It's a mill I've seen the same bike sold over and over again....:bunny2

Kidding, they're more likely to send you free parts and help you fix it for a couple of beers...
