  • Hello from kentucky

Hello everyone, I was told about this site and thought i would give it a try. I ride a 2004 Katana 600. I have done lite mods like two brothers slip and custom pipe, and jetting. I am currently in the process of painting the bike, the guy i bought it from had rattle canned it black .

Any way i am curious about other mods and where a good place to find them is. I have realized katana performance parts aren't easy to come by. I also look forward to talking to you all and becoming a regular on the site.

            Welcome to KR!

You've really got all the performance mods done already. After the pipe and jetting there's an ignition advancer and then it's just cosmetics.

I want to keep my slip but would like a header and mid pipe. I wonder if an older gsxr or something would work.

                      Why?
With the D&D it is not difficult to use whatever can you want.
The only company I know that makes an aftermarket header by itself would be Delkevic. But I believe it is just about the same as stock, just in chrome.

Lol have u heard a two brothers slip on a katana ? Way better then d&d in my opinion. I just wondered if there was only those 2 or if the measurements where the same as another bike with a slightly bigger diameter pipe

I never said use the D&D can, I said you can easily use a different can with the D&D header and mid-pipe. And yes I have heard 2bros cans on Kats, I have been in the modifying game for a little while.
You can basically use any header from an oil cooled suzuki, but expect to have to modify your fairings with several of them.
If your doing it for more power don't waste your money, just change your sprocket gearing.

That's what i was afraid of..... Just trying to get that extra little bit I've already started "fine" tuning the carbs by checking the heat on each header tube and adjusting accordingly.

If you're looking for that "last little bit", try an ignition advancer.
