    Hey What's up guys?

Just got my first bike, a '92 Katana 600. It needs some TLC (already installed a new battery, windshield, headlight, front blinkers, rearviews.. Needs new plastics), but I got it for cheap and have really enjoyed getting to know the bike a little more intimately.

While I'm comfortable ridging my friend's ninja 500r, I am still a new rider, and I've heard 600's aren't the greatest to start on. Any advice, thoughts, suggestions?
The bike won't be ready to ride for about another week, and in that time I plan on taking a safety course, but is there anything else i should be looking into?

    THX

The MSF course is a great way to build your confidence/skills, at least for me. I think if you were comfortable on the Ninja you will do just fine moving up a bit to the Kat.

Welcome! It's a good starter bike. Pretty quick and lightweight and great maneuverability. You'll like it.
