  • New to Suzukis

    Hi,

I have been riding for 40 years and have owned about one of everything except a Suzuki. Some 10 years ago I decided to try a number of bikes that have always intrigued me. In that time I have owned a Ducati ST4, a Harley Road King, a Honda ST1300, a Triumph Bonneville and most recently a 2010 Honda VFR1200. I made the decision to downsize and simplify.

To this end I found a very nice 2006 Katana 750 with under 12k miles. I am here to find out what the most common issues, upgrades and other information there is on these bikes. So far, before picking it up, I am having a set of the new Michelin Pilot 3 tires spooned on.

    So that is about it.

I have included a few pictures.

Welcome. Katanas are definitely simple. Sounds like you've had quite the variety of bikes.

          The simple upgrades...

Factory Pro stage 1 jetkit, use your OEM airbox and filter.

          Have the suspension upgraded.

Those 2 right there will make you very happy and resolve most "issues" that people will have in general for most uses of the bike.
