  • So I Bought a Katana..

    Howdy!

My Name is Zack and i just bought a 2006 Katana 600 that has 7000 Miles on it.

its my first bike, and I wont be riding it, until I go through a motorcycle training course( im registered for the H/D riders edge program in late May). I bought the bike from my friend who is moving out of state, so i thought i would help her out by purchasing the bike. It wwouldnt start when i got it, but i drained the tank and replaced the spark plugs and now she runs. She idles high, but I am going to take it to a Suzuki Dealer to have them look it over and replace the rear tire. SO with out further A-do here is my bike

EDIT: Computer at work wont let me load it, So Ill Do it later

A little bit of Back ground...
I am 23, An ASE Automotive Master Technician, I mostly work on Fleet Trucks, but I also am AUDI certified, I have a 500+HP (estimated) Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo... and just living life to the fullest right now

    so.. hai

Welcome aboard. I'll be heading to Glenn Burnie this summer, to hook up with a friend of mine. He used to live in a haunted house there. Can't remember the street...Anyway, if you're interested, we can hook up when I get down there.

I buy my tires online and pay to have them mounted off the bike. That is I remove the wheel. Last time I did one I asked the guy what he would charge for the same tire I got online for about 100 bucks and he told me 180$. I saved about 60$ after the mounting and balancing charge.

So here is a pic of my bike. It still needs a little bit of work. I am going to drop it off at the Suzuki dealer to have the carbs re-tuned, have it inspected, and the rear tire replaced.
