Hi Guys and girls....
Appreciate you allowing me to ask stupid question and so forth and I will try not to ask anything that has been asked 100 times by the last 100 new members.
Got me a bike and was wondering just where it fits in and possibly production numbers and trivia.
Bike was leaned up against a trailer and I picked it up randomly as are most of my finds. This is an 82 Suzuki Katana, CV carbs, GS10X-1073 stamped on the motor and a vin #(REMOVED) and I have the original title as it was a one owner bike. A color speck sheet of a GS1000SZ is in the folder. Did the American models have the SZ suffix as well as the european bikes with the slide carbs? I have a few pics of back when it was new and a folder of goodies the PO had kept. He had put a 17 on front to improve handling(he says). The bike is rough but I have collected and stole on ebay the parts to put it back to stock very cheaply over the last couple years and I think the only thing I am missing are the front calipers. I need a new windscreen, plastic is good, seat needs work but it is all there or I have the parts including the speedo. I am half way through a cb1100f that has alot more of my labor in it, so being I have not spent any time on this project bike, anyone give me an idea of its approximate value both as is, and in 90 percent restored and running condition. Some of what I read indicates there werent to many of these, but you cant believe everything you read. Any information on what I have would be appreciated. Thanks and yall have a good one.
