      Congrats!

To get your hands to stop hurting/going numb, lose the 'Gorilla Grip of Death', in other words, don't grab the handle bars so tight
It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

Don't worry it just takes a little while to get used to the 500 pound chick you're dancing with now compared to the 300 pound girl you danced with at your MSF course. Welcome

Welcome to KR. I went through the same stuff...hated the wind Bigtime! Each ride gets easier and I'm more in love with the bike every day. Went out for a ride a couple of days ago for a chocolate bar. 148 kilometers later I arrived back home.

LOL Cybrnathan!!! Mine was a 300 guy (Yamaha Virago 250) whose handlebars hit my legs every time I went around pylons on our Canadian version beginners' classes.
