  • Oslo - Germany roundtrip

    Hey

so me and a buddy on vfr are going on a trip to germany.

We are riding to my parents place tomorrow and then take the ferry from there to Denmark.

We are going to stay at another friends place in germany and riding to Germany with him the day after.

the trip is roughly like this:

    and the same way back.

4 hours ferry and then about 4 hours riding along the west coast of Denmark. And then from there about 2-4 hours into Germany depending on how far we want to go.

So I will be testing the top speed legally on the autobahn in germany.

hey guys , im back. every thing went ok. it was raining the entire trip. which I couldnt care less about. im used to riding in the rain , its refreshing. but its not the same traction and one can get a bit carried away

after 3 front wheel slips because of braking ( thankfully while riding straight ) I said to my buddy in the intercom, hey dude its slippery lets take it easy. he agreed. 2 minutes later he almost lost the rear in a roundabout. right after that as I was about to overtake a car the rear wheel started spinning just by giving some throttle. anyway...

the roads are straight as ****. I could almost see my friends house from the other end of Denmark. so after riding down to my friend in pretty much just straight roads we decided: lets take my friends car to germany. no point in wasting tire riding straight.

so we did that and and Im home again.

to sum up: riding motorcycle is never boring but you would have to point a 12 gauge to my head to get me do that route again.

                        pics later on

I was all set to plan out some multi day touring rides on the motorcycles after picking up some luggage, until Badfaerie asked... "Where are we going to ride too? All the good roads are here!".....

Glad to hear things went well!

hah thats true about my situation too. but you know, its tempting to think that the grass is greener on the other side

but seriously , when we got off the ferry in Norway again I said to mu buddy , dude let me lead I know some bad *** twisties on the route. and it felt freaking awesome to lean the bike over again..jeez

btw , I got a good deal on some leathers over there.

they look too posy but its leather and it was cheap.

NEVERMIND THE DOUSY EYES I JUST GOT HOME!!
