  • Sports rack that fits instead of passenger grab

    Hi

I have been looking a lot for a sports rack which I can replace my passenger grab by. It is important that it can be mounted with only the two bolts for the passenger grab and that it looks good so I can keep it on all the time.

I really hope you can help.

I've never seen one redily available for the Kat. I might suggest just having someone make you one. There are lots of fabrication shops I'm sure that could do it. A simple approach to this would be 3 pieces cut from thick aluminum plate. 2 in a backwards Z type shape for the mounting on either side, holes drilled for the bolt holes you mentioned. The 3rd a slotted but wide flat piece that the other 2 bolt too for your rack.

If you have someone cnc plasma or waterjet cut it out, you can get pretty decrative/intricate in the design and have it turn out super nice.

I have one.. It's good and made just for the Kat..
It's in hte basement and I feel lazy but I bet I have pics..
Or search for Rack and posts by me..

Umm or I can do that too I guess..

        Renntec that's it..

Oh it keeps the grab rail. Its just big enough for a helmet to sit on. But that is plenty of room to strap a bag to.

Would you happen to know what brand this rack is? I've been looking for something exactly like this, but renntec seemed to be the only option.

                      Cheers!
