750 - post tubes on pre trees?

:repostwhat if any mods are needed to hook up 01 forks on 97 tripples on my 750 kat?
would a pre or post rim work best with this project? what if any mods would be needed?

i was told that the hub spacing may be different. thought i should ask around before i spend money on a headache.

The 03-06 Had wider hubs. The 98-02 front wheels were a direct swap to the pres. Good chance the forks would swap as well. Do research though, don't just take my word. I haven't done that swap.
