I am new to the forum, I recently purchased a friends 01 Fairingless dinged and dented Kat, so I've decided to fighter it. I need inexpensive ideas for the gauge cluster, possibly using the gauges from the existing cluster.

Welcome to KR.
There is a stickie here in the fighter section with a good layout. Also take some time an check out some build threads and see if you like how others are doing their gauges.1992- project katfighter

What would be the main problems with hooking up a cluster off a newer sportbike? Or even one like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260755682321 ?

Best bet for success is stick with Suzuki. there is a long line of guys wanting to see how a newer GSX-R cluster will work on a Kat, but we are all too wimpy to try it..

Ended up purchasing a Trail Tech Vapor digital gauge. Anyone have experience in wiring this up on a post 98 Kat?Attached Files

I believe as far as wiring goes it is just installing the magnetic senor on the front wheel and fork. An hooking it into a power and ground line. But Ive never used one, so what do the directions say?1992- project katfighter
