Forgot to mention freakin loud lol. Appreciate it brother, definitely lookng forward to doing it again soon. Awesome finally seeing your bike in person as well, I think it was still up at Thazkat's when I came up last time.
u did more then fine with your 600 today, obviously im not using it to its fullest, you always kept up and i was going about 95-100% through the corners when i was able to
Still what kindve coincidence is it.... lol I just looked again... 1157...
Itll probably be awhile before I do a swap like that. Saving up for a house and gonna start puttin some of my 'hobby time' into this efi set up.

Yea when there wasn't an already slow moving hog infront of us slowing down even more before each turn lol
yeah luckily sommersville road didnt have really any cars and sommersville west elkton rd would have been awesome if they would cut the grass and some curve ahead signs. the road outside of new paris that we took to hit rt 40 was nice. cars and cruisers ruined 732 and hueston woods.
Well I started opening up the old engine to start parting it out.. And I found this after popping the clutch cover. Kinda wondering if it might've been the reason I didnt have 2nd gear.
I hear only using 4 clutch springs makes your bike faster
I cant believe you didnt have trouble shifting regardless of gear...tighten it back down and see what it does.
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

but personaly I dont see a point in a 1000 you can get the same power from a properly tuned 600 with less weight and better handeling.
Thats kind've what Im thinking. Im gonna try putting it back together with the 5 clutch springs I have and see if that cures the problem. If so I'll go ahead a relpace this piece below.

Wait...
Generally your looking at...
If it's staying in gear, but "slipping"... going up in rpms but not going faster... then it's the clutch issue you see there.
If it's coming out of the gear entirely... and you have to shift again to get it to go back into gear, it's the transmission and no longer a clutch issue (won't be fixed by replacing the piece in the pic.)
If the clutch had issues and was used anyways, that can lead to/cause the transmission gear damage that makes 2nd gear pop out of gear. The gears inside are damaged and need to be replaced to fix that though. Obviously if you do that, you need to fix the clutch as well.
Yea, not really the look I was going for atm, but sounds sooo much sweeter at wot. Now that the Delkevic is off for the moment I can really do some work modifying it.
Thinking I may have come down with MSS (missing spacer syndrome) after regreasing my rear bearings the other night. Seems as though the sprocket bolts are digging into the SA.
