we have a foot of snow on the ground and the other day i seen a guy out riding about a week ago. it hasnt got out of the 20's for the past three weeks!!!!

yea Ive seen a few guys out riding in the ice we had this past week....

anyways, couple updates. finally got some of my new gaskets Ive been waiting for. so I put the side covers on last night an filled her up with oil. went out this morning an no oil puddle or seepage, so far so good. so I went ahead and installed the modified header. went to install the new foot pegs... an the new backets are just a tad too small... so here in a minute Im gonna try and dril them a size larger.

well got it on there, like the way it looks, but the manufacture cnc'd the mounting bracket too short.. so instead of sitting flat like the oem, it sits at just a slight angle up. I'll try it out fo a bit, an if it doesnt work for me then I'll put the oems back on. an just my luck.. the snap ring holding the bolt in shot across the garage an I havent been able to find it...stop by cycle specialties on my way to work an see if they have replacements in stock...

Just use a regular snap ring y wouldnt that work i think they are the same

honestly never went snap ring shoppin before lol, would lowes or home depot carry them or go to auto zone or something?

Autozone should have them, I've bought a package with all kinds of different sizes in it before.

Started working on removin the rust an everything from the gas tank just a bit before Hemi stopped in this afternoon. while going through the 3 prep steps from por15, installed the new gel grips.. very nice. Have the tank driving overnight before sealing it.

eventful day in the garage today since I was rained out at work. Got my bandit 1200 header in, grinded out the inner welds, and replaced the post header that I spent all the effort on lol. mock fit the exhaust... not liking any way I can see of using the mid pipe, probably end up cutting it shorter and bending it slightly. hooked up the external tank an started her up, first time hearing the new engine so not bad, however definitely needs a good tune. shut it off an went inside to grab another beer. came back outside an realized I forgot to shut off the gas valve. not 2 minutes after that the gas pours onto the ground. Im just hoping I had the external tank hooked up to the wrong tube (Ive never used a secondary tank before, but my tank has por15 curing), and not messed up the seals in the carbs. anyway of checking without disassembly?

That would not have messed up the seals. The floats/float needles are not right though, and you will need to pull the carbs to fix the issue. Gas should not leak out of the carbs like that even on free flow from the source.
