whose bright idea was it to use phillips head screws to mount the carb intake boots to my old pre engine.... ahh. well Ill see if the screw outs work on them tomorrow. got some of the wiring sorted out today. hopefully be ready to hook the carbs up soon and try tuning them for the new engine.

Picked up a new-to-me toy to fix up an play around with at campsites. but with all the good things Ive heard bout tecumseh 5.5 engines this one just doesnt wanna stay running when you open up the throttle. still not too bad for 20 $

to be honest I have no idea. Ive been trying to find out more bout the frame and the motor, far as I know the motor is an old tecumseh 5.5. been thinking about extending the frame and putting a 125cc dirtbike engine in.

after talking to some friends on custom fighters, was told it is an old rupp, but more likely had a 4 hp tecumseh rather than 5.5

Question... what kind of lift did you get out of the B12 shock? I want to put something a little heavier duty in mine.

dont have any actual measurements, but I'd say bout 1.5", enough to get the chain to rest on top of the SA when I'm not on the bike. and yes that is with the chain set up properly with 1" of play

I actually wanted to lower my bike a bit. I have a lowering link kit (courtesy of Ne_Oublie) that drops the bike by a whopping 2" I think. If I put both together I should get a nice half inch drop as well as a beefier suspension. The mod wheels are turning...

I believe most people that have done that said it was bout the same height as stock.
If you wan a beefier suspension an also have it lowered then you definitely wanna talk to Tmod about rebuilding your shock with a more appropriate spring
