I was at my in laws last night when my father-in-law said hey why don't you get your dads bike tomorrow and come ride with us. I was like I will see. So I called my dad up and he said yeah no problem. I having my forks chromed and rebuilt so my bike is down right now. So I go over and pick up his 1993 883 Harley Sportster. This thing has drag pipes on it. D&D pipes have nothing on this bike. Anyway I set out at 0730 today and met up with my father-in-law who is a member of the Southern Crusiers riding club. Great bunch of people and they really know how to set up a ride. Their website is www.southerncruisers.net They do alot of benefit rides for St Judes. Anywa we go and met up with everyone and get the details of where we are going. They take a 30 mile one way trip and turn it into a 80-90 mile one way trip to Erin, TN which is close to Clarksville, TN home of the 101st Screaming Eagle Airborne Divison. Ride went great all day nobody went down and we all came home safe. We rode from 0800 to 1600(4pm for non military). Here are a few pics of everyone and you can see the rest at www.picturetrail.com/highsight2020 click on the album Ride with Southern Crusiers.
My Ride for the Day.
This is the suit I got my dad. This thing is great. I was warm all day. I could have worn shorts under it and be just as warm. It is a First Gear Thermo 1 Piece suit that is also waterproof.
I met up with Andy(Lopeha) after the ride. He had a valve cover for me. Here is a pic of him today in front of his Office( Drives for Mag Trucking)
