  • Anyone using adjustable idle screws?

Do they really help you dial the idle mixture in?
And if so, does it really make a difference other than
    nice idle?

You mean the long boy A/F screws that Factory Pro sells? If so, they really don't have anything to do with adjusting the idle. They adjust the air to fuel mixture through the RPM range. If you have a clean set of carbs, 2.5 turns out is usually right on the money. They are just a convenience more than anything.

They would help if you had hands the size of a child to reach in there to turn them...

They're not perfect, but they are a lot better than trying to use a 90 degree screw driver contraption to adjust the stock ones.
