I tried a set of the 30-LED version in my '00 and immediately resold them (not as bright as the incandescent bulb, IMO). Tried a set of the 48-LED version (required cutting the tail reflector up on the 98+ kats), which are still in there now, but I have the replacement tail (new) to reinstall the standard bulb because some were complaining last year at the rally that they couldn't see the running lights very well. Suggest you contact MIBagentQ via PM and see what he would charge you do to a whole flat surface LED panel for your pre-98, or search the threads on KR for the how-to to do it yourself.
Cheers,

From my experience you have to be careful which ones you get. Some of the cheap ones are really crappy....but if you can get quality ones they're really good. I converted all my rear lighting to LEDs from customdynamics.com. All of it was brighter than stock by far.Suzuki Katana: The best underated motersicle in da woild

If I get some time I'll get a pic of what it looks like from behind..that way you can kinda get an ideal of what it'll look like..Good judgement comes from experience, and often experience comes from Bad Judgement :smt084

Some people are a lot like Slinkys.
Not really good for anything, but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
