i have one question,,,there is a guy on.cl trying to sell a 97 kat with a 92 gsxr motor,,,says ots oil cooled,,,when did gixxer motors start being water cooled?

Depends what CC it is. The 600 was water cooled in 1992 (ever since it came out in 1992). The 750 went water cooled in 1993 in the US. It was water cooled in 1992 everywhere else.
