  • GSXR K8 or K9 exhuast on my pre 600

Ive been looking at changing the exhaust on my kat for a while now but i havent seen any bolt on options that i like so ive been considering maybe getting the cans off a K8 or K9 gixxer 1000 and having a custom link pipe made up,,,,,,, my question is would i need to get my bike rejetted or would it be ok as standard???

thanks for any help in advance

Rejetting would be suggested but not necessary, as install manuals say with just about any exhaust.

ok cool, if i chose not to have it rejetted would it effect the performance of the bike or maybe do the bike any harm,

sorry if the questions seem dumb but im new to this and im trying to learn as much as possible before i jump in head first.

      cheers

Performance, yes, perhaps. Harm it, I doubt it but either way I would Richen up the mixture as it came very lean from the factory to begin with.
