  • My bike possibly for sale: What you say its worth

Hey guys, as some of you may know, I bought a zx14 in the fall. I'm still living with my parents but have decided to start looking at condos and houses to move into. When I do move out, I am not going to need 2 bikes and a car, I would like to put the money down on my home or use the money to furnish my place.

    Heres the specs:

    2006 Suzuki Katana GSX600F6K
    Black
    Yoshimura Slip On Exhaust
    New Air Filter (OEM)
    Ivan's Jet Kit
Brand New Michelin Pilot Powers Front and Rear (0 Miles)
A used set of Dunlop OEM's with about 50% tread left (would make great spare)
    Carbon Fiber Brake/Clutch Lever
    Carbon Fiber Tank/Gas Cap Pad
    Carbon Fiber Grips
    Carbon Fiber Bar Ends
    Carbon Fiber Mirrors
    Smoked Front Turn Signals
    Smoked Rear Mini Turn Signals
    Complete (Real) Fender Eliminator Kit
    Smoked Taillight
2 Seats, one stock and one with a Racing Cowl Mounted, both in great shape
Yellow wheel tape but will come with several optional colors
No Decals except the OEM Suzuki on the bottom cowl
    New brakes
    Ignition advancer

Veryyyyy clean bike. I bought it brand new 2.5 years ago. Only 8k miles. Rides great. Looks new, washed and waxed every two weeks. Bikes been to the dragon (North Carolina) several times and ive ground the pegs on both sides with the stock tires. Imagine what it will ride like with the new PP's!!!

Please let me know what you guys would think about price wise. Im torn for selling it, maybe i will maybe i wont but im keeping the options open. I dont have pics at the moment but will post up soon!!!
Ride like there's no tomorrow!!! You never know when your going to run out of "tomorrows"!!!
    Current Bikes:
    1997 Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird
2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R Special Edition

Check the NADA and Kelly Blue Book values and take a look at your local Craigslist postings. Of course, you know that it'll sell for more if you wait until it starts to warm up.

It's priceless ... but seriously do your research ... also I don't think the mods carry as much weight price-wise as one may think ... not meaning to hate on your efforts but imho I think buyers are looking for clean examples of stuff

i agree with the mods being somewhat worthless but i think they make the kat look meaner and maybe more attractive to people that so o its just a kat. im thinking high 3's.... or hoping..

With the exception of an exhaust, most mods will just help sell the bike faster. The exhaust will actually add about $100 to the value of the bike. Depressing. It sounds like you've got a pretty nice bike on your hands. Pity to let it go.

I did you the favor of checking www.nadaguides.com. Make of it what you will. The other place to check is www.kbb.com.

from my experience mods can detract from the price, also +1 for waitin for spring to sell, youll definitely get closer to your asking price around that time. supply and demand kinda thing.

ive ridden the kat on only the stock dunlops, when i bought my zx14 and rode with the new tires that were on there it was riding on tires with tree sap on em, the amount of grip was unbelievable!!!!!
