That's the number I've seen from a few different sources , http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...r1100%2090.htm actually has it listed HIGHER than that (the 40mm carbs seem to make for almost 10hp over the 36mm equipped bike) , and one site that had comparos of the stock GSXR vs his modified bandit . Not that I've been looking around getting ideas or anything ...

Those look like listed numbers, not actual readings...... Suzuki also put the 05 GSXR1000 at 175 claimed hp. Like I said, dynos all read different...... I talked to one guy that put down over 130hp with a 815cc long stroke 750 engine, running near-stock compression, stock cams, and the original CV carbs.

I have seen the GSXR listed at 149hp all over the place, stock. The Katana 136 hp, stock. That is the GSXR 1127 engine!

The later 1127's in the GSXR's came with 40mm carbs...... maybe that's where it comes from? The head changed as well, but I don't know what all changed in them. Maybe ports to fit the carbs?
