Harbor freight sells float chargers for $4.99 when they are on sale, $9.99 is the regular price.
That's all you need for storage,
I have used these for the past 10 years. I have one on my boat and one on each bike.
I usually keep a few in the shop for my customers to, but I'm sold out right now.98 GSX750F

IMHO:
It's heavily dependent on where you live, and more-over where the bike lives.
If your parking area is subject to rain, condensing water or fog, get the BatteryTender WaterProof 800, which is (literally) waterproof and the charge rate is exactly right for a 98+ Kat.
If you park in a nice, dry garage, I actually prefer the optimate 3 -- it's physically bigger, but I like the charger better and for older bikes, it will de-sulfate.
Cheers,

Just buy a 12vdc @ 600 ma wallwart. that will keep it topped off safely.
The others are right about this one! http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...y-Charger.aspx
looks like a better option than a wallwart for a not bad price of $30.Last edited by GSXfs600; 11-20-2008, 08:50 PM.

So what model/make did you order?
And why did you order it when mom & the other half were asking about XMas stocking stuffers (could have been one!)?
Cheers,
