Popped a huge dent out of the gas tank, cleaned the inside with some WD40 and 3/8" lock washers, coated with 2-cycle oil to keep from rusting. Going to strip paint tomorrow off the gas tank. Goal is for full paint job May 1!1988 GSX1100F - moving under its own power! Final assembly, carb balancing, etc.

Today was my birthday, whooo! My gf had work, my parents were out of town, so I took the day off and rode all day. It wasnt as sunny as the weather reported, actually got pretty windy and cold. I wore a couple of layers so made it ok. Got up bright and early, rode to McDonalds, got me some pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns, and diet coke. Rode home, got my backpack filled with my uniform, and visited a local karate class (not my normal one). Wasnt that great of a class, but still was great to pull up in my bike. Afterwards I dropped off the backpack, and rode around for a while. I tried finding this one major loop that was like 15 miles long that I had rode before with my dad, but missed the turn, and ended up in this really weird town. The roads were really weird, all I can describe them as is European. But the weirdest thing is I saw maybe 40 people walking around or in their cars, and I swear none of them were under 70 years old. I could tell some of them were kinda getting freaked out by me on my Kat, and at the same time their speedlimits were ****ing me off, so I pulled over to an old run down school, lubed up my chain, and rode back. Eventually made my way to wendy's, got my self a burger, nuggets, fries, and a drink. Really healthy meals right? I guess its that whole birthday ****. Headed back, got a bit lost, but made it back.
This isnt really have to do with riding, but this is the rest of my story for the day. Got back to my gfs house, and then we went out for sushi. Got a lot of crazy stuff, sushi tacos, shrimp and vegetable tempura, salmon roll, rainbow roll, mexican roll. Afterwards we headed back to my gfs house, where I took a breif nap, barely slept the night before. Then my gf took me out to a surprise location, which turned out to be a rollerblade rink. Which sounds kinda cheesy and lame, but when you pregame in the car beforehand with a bottle of vodka and redbull, its pretty fun. We get there and my gf goes "Its ok, neither of us know how to skate that well", I go "Um, Im actually pretty good at rollerblading". Never really was good at any particular sport (besides Karate I guess), but I was always good at rollerblading and bicycling. Anyway, turned out to be a blast, until my gf took a spill on the ground, but we were both pretty much done after that. Headed back, and took about a 4.5 hour nap, came home, set off the alarm, bull**** excuse, and now Im in my room, typing away!
I would be going out again tomorrow, but the weatherman says its gonna be lightning and thunderGreen 2000 Suzuki Katana - First Bike - Project Link: http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=113759

Friday nite I swapped my 2000 Katana header to a 750cc and changed oil since I was there, installed a 5 degree ignition advancer and I have a Ivans Carb Kit, Barnett clutch kit and solo seat cowl n the garage gotta find the time very soon. Yesterday 4/9/11 me and several thousand other riders ESCORTED 2-22 foot long steel beams from the World Trade Center site when they hit Indiana State line to Indianapolis, they r building a memorial downtown Indy, pooring rain almost the whole ride but it was for a grt cause and my buddies and I had a grt time never the less. 160 mile round trip, soaked like hell but awesome! Helicopter escort people at every overpass and on the shoulders of the highway. Glad to b an AMERICAN! Proud to have been there, take care Kat riders, hope to meet all of u at Deals Gap in July 2011.

Installed my new fuel petcock. Polished all the plastics and reinstalled em on the bike. Put fuel in it and took it out for an hour ride. Crappy weather with tornado warnings now, so setting here on the computer.Don’t walk before you can crawl, and don’t try to sprint until you are a good walker. Use your head, wear the gear, and have fun
