  • Kickstand sag

Just changed stock exhaust to aftermarket noticed that my kickstand won't fully engage that sensor to put it in gear without dying.Would shorting the spring take up the sag or should I buy a new spring? or could I weld a littlehook to hold the kickstand

Strange. -Just get rid of the kickstand and use the centerstand.

If you cut off a coil on the spring and bend it up to re-attach it that should work for a while. The reason it's sagging in the first place is bad steel.

Some kind of U shaped clip would be a cool idea too.

Or just disable the dumb sensor.

Look at the mounting holes for the switch -- you may be able to reposition it. If not, and you can lift the kickstand manually enough to engage the contact switch, replace the spring (the old spring is too weak in such cases).
