    if im tunning carbs 1 and 2 which way do i turn the screw to give 1 more suck then 2.
    99 katana 600- sold, but not forgotten
    06 yamaha yzf600r- down for the count

    The way that gives you the result you want.

    I never pay attention to what direction, I just give it a good twist at the outset to figure it out, then turn it back -- after that just tweak, then wait 20 seconds to let it settle back down, then tweak again as needed.

      what rpms should i sync it at? ive heard anything from idle to 4000

        And the service manual sez... 1800 - 1850.

            one last question before i get it all back together. where does the line coming from the carb to the fuel filter route? i have it coming up between carbs 2 and 3 and the airbox. (this is what the manual shows) but this makes my filter lay on it side and i read a horizontal fuel filter causes problems.

              The location is right in the sense of between 2 & 3; just push it down a bit more (I actually trim the fuel hose below it commonly by 1/4 inch to help).
