Miles on the kantana 600

Ive been looking through the threads to see what the average miles people have on there bikes. But the real question is, how many miles is to many? im looking at buying a 2005 600 katana but it has 14,xxx on it. should i be worried?

No you should be more concern with the overall condition of bike did the owner take care of the bike doing the routine things like changing oil or keeping chain lube keeping carbs in order etc etc if he took care of bike and body is in good condition than you should not be that concerned over the miles

yeah, what is the condition? My friend just bought a GSXR with 93,000km on it in excellent shape. Its all in how you upkeep and maintain the bike not the miles.

With proper care & maint, that bike will last to 100k miles.

I'd be more concerned about a 7 or 10 or 15 year old Kat with 5k miles than a 3 year old one with 14k miles, because the 3 year old one got ridden regularly (which is a good thing -- heats up the oil, circulates the fuel, etc.).
