i dropped some parts off today and started to talk to guys at the shop about more performance out of the kat and they suggested the next thing i should do is head work(port/polish),Webb Camshafts im ammusing the 89GSX750,stage 3 jet and ignition advanced, sprocket change and they said it would cost $600 for headwork,$450 for cams,$20 for the sprocket and i already have a stage 3 kit sitting in my basement so it would be that plus installation. what do you guys think?

yeah plus a 130 mph to 200 mph really isn't a feature i have used or probably will use on a bike atleast. But getting there faster is nice.

        Ditto...new bike.

that is roughly the price of a transplanted b12 or kat 1100 engine. another route i would rather seek.

but if you go that route, make sure you report back with pre and post dyno runs.

Are you willing to put over $1.5k in a piece of machinery that's 15 years old?

going that route will provide you with some very expensive ponies....
You'd better upgrade too a faster bike.

IMHO: bigger engine (Bandit 1200) or different bike.

You're looking at spending in excess of $150 per HP gained.

                            Cheers,

If he's upgraded/reworked suspension and brakes, and is willing to do a swingarm swap so he may use a wider tyre I be with you on the big-bore Marc, otherwise I think that allso a waste off money.
