  • MISSING - Busted Rocker Arm

    Hello All

I recently dropped a cylinder as I busted a rocker arm. I got a new head on its way and retrieved all the broken parts but 1, a piece of the rocker arm about the size of a tic tac. I have seach high and low in the engine with no luck. If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them. I am also wondering how concerned I should really be, if I have looked everywhere and no sign perhaps it is gone, just not sure where?

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Does "searched high and low" include dropping the oil pan?

Yea, my guess is it dropped down where the cam chain is, and if the engine was running while that happened, you could be SCREWED.

Turn the engine upside-down and shake vigorously. If that doesn't free it, check the oil pick-up screen, and the oil pressure regulator (along with the passage to it).
