Just use SG.. Costs $8.95 a gal @ Home Depot. Pick up a spray bottle for $2.95 and use full strength on them grease spots and bugs. Best thing there is. Plus it wont screw up yer motor paint, or yer plastics if you splash on them..

But that's just me. I use Orange oil cleaner and a toilet brush.
(it really gets into the nooks like behind the header around the swingarm..)

Not sure what works better on the bike ( I like brake cleaner and ain't worried about my paint so much ) , but it seems the Purple stuff works better on the oil in the driveway than Simple Green .....

            BRAKE FLUID works even better!!!

!!!!EDIT!!! I'm sorry, but I now have to put the disclaimer out. DO NOT use brake fluid to remove bugs from your paint.

simple green used to be my cleaner of choice, but now I use industrial strength toilet bowl cleaner. I discovered this last year when I was going to clean the hull of my boat and went to the marina to see what they had. they handed me toilet bowl cleaner.

OK so by logical progression we should switch to urinal cakes and we won't have to wash the bikes anymore....

I only use the carb cleaner for the aluminum under the hood parts. For bugs, I only use turtle wax bug and tar remover. It takes off the worst of grease too. Great for the swingarm gunk that builds up.

I used the gunk engine cleaner on my old Yamaha. It worked pretty well.
I think I will try simple green next time though
