spark plugs hard to get to on this, i might start with that. i was talking to the owner before me, he said it was tuned before i got it at 90 degree weather and said could be running alittle lean, he said they tweaked wit the carbs to, almost like a jet kit or something i dunno. but i wanna do spark plugs on it, hard to do? i am mechanically inclined on a car, but dont kno much bout bikes

Getting to the plugs is the hardest part. Changing them is just like on a car, EXCEPT that you need to make sure you only twist them in easy til they bottom out and then stop (8 lb-ft torque if I recall right...). Since the metal in the plug threads is harder than the metal of the block, it's easy to strip a plug socket if you use any serious force on it... 8 lb-ft is basically your pinky finger pushing on a 1/4" drive ratchet, if you don't have a torque wrench -- and if you don't have a torque wrench, get one before you start working on this bike!
