i'm new to riding and i must say i really enjoy it and my kat, everything's been smooth until earlier today. i'm still riding around on my permit so in california you're not allowed to be on the freeways, ride at night, or with a passenger. i've been trying to be good and follow the rules.
but today i decided i wanted to see how fast the bike can go, so i jumped onto the freeway, i know it's a little underpowered according to today's standards, but man was that a rush at 95 mph on a bike. well i got kind of nervous and decided to jump off the freeway.
i was making my way back home when i hear this grinding noise underneath me, i slowed a little and it kind of went away, so i give it more gas and then it pops and just grinds away. i'm thinking i snapped a chain or something back cause it did not sound good,
i pull over, jump off the bike, look down and there sat my license plate, and turn signals, wedged in between my rear tire and chain. seems like my homemade eliminator kit couldn't handle the vibration and broke off where the screw holes were. although it sucks, i must admit i was relieved that that was all the problem was.
i'm gonna check the chain for damage, and everything else. but lessoned learned, karma always comes back around. so untill i get my license, you'll only see me riding in the daytime, by myself, on the side streets.
thanks for listening guys.
