The end of a legacy....Anybody else heard this........

Being my first new topic, I hate to be a downer....
I just bought a new 2006 Kat 750 last week. I went to the dealer
yesterday and talked to the owner - a guy I have known for years.
He told me that 2006 is the last eyar for the Katana. It will be replaced - but he wasn't sure with what. He did tell me that my bike was one of the last 1200 made so I qualified for a product package that will be coming to me in the mail in a few weeks - what a bummer!!!
Sorry to be the one to give a bit of bad news.....

If it is true, it's time. I love my Katana, but they either had to update and raise the price or continue with dated platform. Suzuki is in the bizz of making money, if there is a strong enough market for our beloved Kat, They will find a comparable replacement.

I didn't believe it when it was rumors
but since they're actually sending you something about it I'd reckon it to be true

At least my 05' has alot of miles left in it. I don't have to worry about a replacment for a long time.

Seems like the general concensus is "who knows". Guess we'll see next year...

I thought we had another year left. Oh well, at least the 98+ Kat a great run.

Hmmm, maybe it's just me, but I think suzuki's already got their replacement in the SV. And, with a sporty model 'S' to boot... If they brought the SV400 to America, I kinda think the GS would fall next...(Sorry guys, I loved my Kat too!)

Well, that sucks. Now the question is whether something else will be slotted in as a replacement... Hmmm...

                                Cheers,
