What's the ETA on completion? I'm also curious how many hours you think you've got into the job so far.-Steve

March 22 Progress
Spent most of the day concentrating on the motor for once. Did not take any pics of the motor today, but will take some Thursday and post them. I did get the broken header bolt removed and started stripping the crappy paint off the covers. The valve cover has been removed and the motor looks virgin inside!
Anyways, I did get some more done today besides that. The engine cradle was stripped and repainted and is ready for the motor. Also ordered the battery for it and got a replacement header bolt.
Since I was looking at doing some things specific for the prospective buyer, I asked for a deposit and was told that it would not be possible. Due to that fact, I will be planning on going completely original in all aspects including the wheel coloring.Ron

March 23 Progress. Mostly dealing with the motor prepping, repainting, and mounting......
You ever see the interior of a motor this clean? This thing is virginal! Let's hope it runs as good as the insides look!
Valve cover prepped:
Valve cover painted:
Motor painted:
Motor mounted back in the frame:
Overhead shot:
As it sits at the end of the day! Had to use my stands to change a couple tires, so I put the wheels back on temporarily:
Still have to strip the pipes and repaint as well as the wheels. Need to pull the two sets of carbs apart also and rebuild a set and hope like hell this thing starts! Front calipers need to be rebuilt before they go back on too.
Still a ways to go, bet getting closer every day!Ron

March 24:
Weather sucks outside, so time to concentrate efforts on something I can work on inside.
I seem to remember that these are NOT suppose to look like this inside.... Green is bad, right?
#s 1 & 2 carbs were the worst:
Thanks God I sourced another set of 88 carbs! Much better here!
Who woulda thought that a Katana would have adjustable needles as stock! Cool!
