                    I was thinking either a German or Brit police coloration scheme...
                    Then I started thinking "how about just removing the decals and having a local airbrush artist add bolts/seams (WW2 bomber style) with a pin-up to the matt black areas?"
                    Now I'm just thinking I'll leave it as-is for a year and revisit the topic later.

                        I agree. Give it some time before doing anything. Until you have the "vision" and know you want it, don't do anything.
