I'm not so sure that actually applies. The mesh is better, to some degree, while moving. Perforated leather varies greatly depending on the size of the holes for the perforations, and how close they are. The amount of airflow really does vary greatly between brands and "models" of leathers. As far as sitting at a red light in the sun, the biggest difference I've found is with the Dainese "3D Bubble Liner". I thought it was going to be a marketing ploy, but had overtime and spent the money anyway. Turns out that it really does work by creating an insulating layer between you and the surface of the leather that heats up in the sun. Eventually you'll get hot, but it takes a bit longer. With mesh, there's nothing but the mesh and armor, so the heat from the solar energy gets to you quicker.

They lack one of the most important features of a quality race boot is my only issue with them. Lateral ankle support.

They aren't race boots and I didn't buy them as race boots. I bought them as something better than my combat boots. So far they are FAR superior.

sonosam, they do look good and are sold as motorcycle boots so that's a huge step above the rest. before my bike crapped out on me i was getting really lazy and just wearing my running shoes so i cant be hypocritical (only for the 3min ride to work tho!!)

when i first started riding i was wearing my high-top steel toe work boots. and was looking at a pair of boots similar to those actually, with the low tops, then i got an awesome deal on my high-top racing boots and love em
if all else fails......... Get a hammer

90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.
