I just got a quote from progressive for full coverage with a 500 deductable and it would be rite at 600 a year for me. Thats almost twice what it is on the kat but eunt have a deductable for the kat.

Sounds like a lot for your area but hey if you can swing it...
I'd be curious to see what they wanted for insurance with $1,000 deductible. Under $1,000 of damage, rather than report to progressive and get a huge premium hike, I bet you'd rather source used parts off of ebay and fix it yourself.

Yes it is alot. But louisiana has very high insurance rates. and only thing i would need the insurance for is if the bike got totaled or stolen
