Bike wont start

Bike was noisy so I took off the valve cover and did a valve adjustment, put back on the cover and now it wont start. Took off the plug wire and inserted a plug into it and grounded the plug then turned over the engine, no spark to 1 and 2, sounds like CDI? Anyone have one at a reasonable price for an 89 750?

did you check the connections to the coil, ie 11 volts on the orange wire and trace the black to make sure its in good shape

one coil runs cyl 1+3 an the other 2+4 so I dont think its a coil
