Speedo not working

Hello, I have a 03 Katana 750, and my speedometer is not working, I have put a new sensor in at the front sprocket. What else goes wrong in the system? The sensor was the most common problem to my knowledge. Any body else have this problem or know what else to check, the gauge itself? Any help is great. Thanks

Go ahead an check the wiring, make sure its plugged in. And you dont need to post the same question in different sections.

I followed the wire back to the gauge cluster and everything was plugged in and sound. Didn't know if the cluster itself could be messed up or someway to check that.

my speedo just went on me on the way home today. Seemed to work intermitently, should I be looking at the cluster or the connection at the sprocket first?

If its intermitently it sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

pulled everything apart today, can't find any connection issues. If the sensor at the sprocket has issues, how can I know for sure? A replacement part is ~ $100 I think and I'd rather not spend the $ to find out that's not the problem...
