  • Bikes been sitting for an while with no oil

So I'm about to change my starter crankcase cover and gasket from a little spill I had and my bike's been sitting completely drained for close to 3 months. Is there anything in particular I need to worry about doing when I add the oil back to it since its been sitting or should it fire right back up and be fine. I'll def change the filter while I'm at it. Probably do some seafoam in the tank for the fuel sediment. Any other recommendations for this process? Thanks fellas!!

Before starting an oil dry engine I always turn the engine over for awhile with the kill switch on. Allowing the oil to circulate and build some pressure before actually starting the engine.

take your spark plugs out and put some oil in there...it'll coat the rings, wrist pins and cylinders, and give you some sense of mind that you wont score the walls and loosen up everything instead of a dead dry turn over, but I do agree on cranking it with no spark...and gas off of course

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to roll it over a couple times by hand...

Sugar in the gas tank. It will give your engine a quick sugar buzz that will speed up oil circulation when you first start it up.
