When my oil was gas washed is that a sign of a bad coil pack? How can i test coil packs?

Whaaaaat!!!! No! That is a sign of a carb issue. Most likely a float needle not sealing issue. Measure the resistance of the coil and check it against the specs in the manual.

Manual should be here today or tomorrow. Ill be ordering needles and seats this weekend to rule out that problem. Car machanic was saying gas would push through if coil was bad is why i asked here.

Petcock would be the first place I'd look. Just don't run it til you've sorted it out ! I changed the oil ran it for fifty miles and then changed it again with a new filter when it happened to me.

I hope you don't let this "mechanic" work on any of your cars... he's an idiot.

You have stuck floats in one or more carb bodies.... and you could have downloaded the manual from the Wiki....

A petcock has a much to do with gas getting in the oil as a coil does. It's a float needle, period. This isn't a "let's guess what might cause this" situation.

One bit of advice: run, don't walk, away from that mechanic.
