im trying to replace the clutch cable because mine snapped at the lever. but i was wondering how do i get the clutch cable off the transmission??
and its a '94 600
The cable is attached to the sprocket cover.
Down load the service manual from the wiki.
then take the sprocket cover off.
slack the cable from the top of the sprocket cover
then remove the end of the cable inside the housing.
when i check the link for pre was no longer working. i have a clymer book that goes to 93, but from what ive been seeing here no one mentions anything thats in the book.
Take the cover off, its very obvious how to remove the cable.
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

but personaly I dont see a point in a 1000 you can get the same power from a properly tuned 600 with less weight and better handeling.
