    Nope, it's just the recomended starting point. Normally most bikes will run good enough at this point that the next step vs the difficulty and tools needed isn't talked about much, but...

    Anyone who adjusts the a/f screws SHOULD do an idle down final adjustment for them when the bike is running and warm, at idle.

    Simple of it... you turn the a/f out till the rpms drop, turn it back in... keep going till the rpms drop, stop... go back half way between those two.

    This will give you individual a/f settings for each carb, but it will be exactly what your bike needs them to be at if everthing else is in line.
