  • Pinging Noise

Hey guys, I spent all winter fiddling with my bike. I tuned and synched the carburetors, changed all the fluids, painted it, etc. It has been running great!!

I noticed just last night a pinging/knocking noise at low RPMs that I had never noticed before. Currently I use regular fuel, and the bike has a Yoshi full exhaust and jet kit. I checked to see that it didn't have an upgraded ignition advancer. Is this recommended for these bikes? Does it help with the pinging? Should I upgrade to mid-grade gas? Any help would be appreciated. Besides that little noise that i JUST noticed, it has been running like a champ with only 12,500 miles on the clock!!

Just go out a little farther on your af screws. Pinging is a sign of running lean.
