  • there's a million on here, but heres mine.

I just finished my carbs, (and what a hell of a deal that was) i got them dam close to done just need a sync tool but anyway i got it to where i can keep up on the highway, so my question is: i have to hold the choke to get it to go full throttle while riding and when i dont it gets to about 7K and falls on its a**, its an '04 600 with 18,600 on the clock. is it really time for a jet kit or just hook up the tool? also when/if i hook it up to the tool what screws do i mess with for the adjustment? is it the a/f screws or is there somethin im missing?
    thanks in advance

I dont think sync ing the carbs is going to help your having to choke while riding to go full throttle. What did you do to you carbs just a cleaning?

also i noticed yesterday while holding it at 6500-7k before it falls down, i give it a shot of ether and it shoots to 11k. so im thinking its not getting enough fuel? that sound like a good theory to anyone?

and as far as the floats go im "prettysure" i got them right 13.5mm off the lip of the bowl. i went with that cuz ive read 13-15 +/- .5mm so it sounded like a good start

                13-15 +/-.5 is a bit of a difference. I believe it is closer to 14.7 +/-.5

                  Not for 98+ carbs. It's 13mm +/- .5mm. Pre 98 are 14.6 +/- 1mm.

Did you check all fuel lines for kinks?

no kinks in fuel line but it is the float level i guessed while waiting on the "measuring device" to get here and got to 9500k without the choke. it arrived today and about to give it hell again i'll post the results by the end of the night.
                          thanks everyone.
