  • Dead cylinders?

So I just installed a factory pro 3.0 jet kit on my 600 and it ran beautiful. Shortly after I washed the bike and now cylinders 1 and 2 are dead. I changed cdi's and coils and still the same. What could be wrong, I'm lost. I have not changed plus yet. Thanks

Let the bike dry out then try to start it again.

So you think its just got water in the wrong places? I have read another post with the same situation, but he never posted what happened or what the problem really was

Ran before you washed it. You could have water down in the cylinder head. it happens.

Shop vac the plug holes, leave somewhere warm overnight and try it in the morning.

It grounds out the plug wire to the engine. No voltage across the plug means no spark.

If that is the case, you need to clean out the drain holes. Each one has a drain to prevent that from happening.

So I'm guessing the water was the problem. I started it up today and it seemed fine. But I changed plugs and clipped the wires back about an inch and its running perfect, if not better than before. So thanks for the help guys. I guess I learned a can't wash my bike lol
